August 6th, 2008

In August, we’re pleased to present SHBN President Vicki Lynne Morgan of Russmor Marketing Group.

Vicki Lynne will discuss:

TRADE SHOWMANSHIP & EVENT MARKETING

Guaranteed ‘Show Time’ Success

Whether you’re one of those seasoned trade show warriors or a novice just beginning your career, get prepared, because the business of exhibiting is changing fast. Don’t underestimate the value of trade show and event marketing – the most powerful tools in the marketing mix.

No other marketing element offers you a venue in which to implement every marketing tactic to exploit all the senses of present and potential clients.

Find out what you don’t know about trade shows and how to:choose your exhibit space, budget time & resources, promote Your Participation (before, during & after), increase booth traffic, capture the interest of those passing by (in less than 7 seconds), qualify visitors, and get the best follow up results.

You’ll never pass up another marketing event again…they’re investments that PAY.

Linda Stender to Speak at January 25 Somerset Hills Business Network Meeting

January 22nd, 2008

Assemblywoman Linda Stender will be the keynote speaker at our next business networking meeting at the Bridgewater Manor on January 25 at 8 a.m.

Stender is now serving her third term in the New Jersey Assembly, representing New Jersey’s 22nd legislative district. She is running for Congress for the 7th Congressional District in 2008, having come within 1 percentage point of defeating Mike Ferguson in 2006; Ferguson has since announced that he will not be running again this year.

Stender spearheaded the effort to combat Global Warming in New Jersey. Her legislation, “the Global Warming Response Act” made New Jersey the first state in the nation to establish mandatory 80% reductions of green house gas emissions by 2050. Linda is also an advocate for making New Jersey a center for stem cell research; has worked to fight childhood obesity by sponsoring legislation to prohibit the sale of junk food in schools during breakfast and lunch. And she supports a citizen’s tax convention to address property tax reform.

For location and RSVP information, see our Events page.
